It started as a tool Clément hacked together to write a story for his kids. It grew into a full platform: a graph-based editor, images, sounds, puzzles, and a community that publishes its stories.

What you can make with it

Moiki is for writing stories where the reader decides what happens next. You sketch a plot, split it into sequences, add choices, then images, sounds, items and puzzles. The story graph builds itself as you write, so you can see at a glance where every choice leads.

Fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, romance, role-playing, educational tales: the tool doesn’t assume a genre. And you don’t need to know how to code.

Who it’s for

Anyone who wants to tell a branching story: hobby writers, role-players, youth workers, librarians, and a lot of teachers. Once published, a story plays on a computer, tablet or phone, and joins the community catalogue.

It’s free with no ads, and a first story takes a few minutes to set up. The interface is available in French, English, Spanish and Italian.

Where it comes from

Moiki has been online since March 2020. It found its audience on its own, with no campaign and no outbound sales. Teachers in particular took it into their classrooms and documented it in several French school districts. We built Moiki EDU for them.
